Connie Slagle Nolan is a Clinical Social Worker who has worked with thousands of individuals and couples on their life journey. She currently has authored a book called The Amazing Journey of a Relationship which shares what she learned during her own marital struggles and continues to use in her counseling strategies for others.
In 1988, Connie and her husband, Michael, divorced after 17 years of marriage. For the next two years they attended numerous counseling sessions where they learned how to have a healthy marriage…instead of living in a war zone. They remarried each other in 1991. This catalyst event caused Connie to change her career path to mental health.
After attaining an M.S.W. in 1994, Connie began her mental health career at North Key in Ft. Wright Kentucky where she provided family, individual and group therapy for four years (1994-1998). She left there at the end of 1998 to work with psychiatric patients at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, helping them to acquire needed coping skills to acclimate back into society (1999-2000). Connie currently works PRN at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood Kentucky where she does mental health assessments in the emergency room. She also spends several hours each day writing.

Father Lou Guntzelman.... RIP August 31, 1931 -- June 21, 2011
Fr. Guntzelman published some of his "reflections for living" in a news letter for New Hope Family Life Center during the years that I was an active member of this organization. And since my writing for this website is a reflection of what I learned during those years, Fr. Guntzelman provided a strong influence on my work. My intent was always to ask Fr. Guntzelman for permission to reprint some of those reflections....so I was saddened to learn that he had died in 2011, but at the same time... happy to learn that he wrote a book called "So Heart & Mind Can Fill" which offers many of the insightful work that I fondly remembered. A few of those reflections will be offered here...in this website. Fr. Guntzelman's book "So Heart & Mind Can Fill" is unfortunately out of print, but used copies can still be found at Amazon.com. I encourage my readers to seek out a copy of this wonderful collection of "reflections" for feeding the heart and soul. Respectfully...Connie Nolan--Website administrator
